In addition to the general admission regulations and other prerequisites of the University and of the Graduate School for entrance into graduate courses and degree programs, the Department of Educational Studies has special prerequisites for some of its offerings. Theses special prerequisites depend upon the particular course or degree program in which the student is interested. Some of the degree programs for educational personnel require as prerequisites those courses that qualify the undergraduate student for a teacher's license.

Applicants for admission to the doctoral programs are required to submit acceptable aptitude scores from the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). Applicants for admission to the doctoral program in Educational Foundations and Administration are required to submit the GRE Writing Test score.

Postbaccalaureate Study
Students who wish to continue their education may enroll as postbaccalaureate students according to the Graduate School policies listed in Admissions.
