NINGER ZHOU Ninger is investigating the effects of multimedia storybook reading on English Language Learners’ vocabulary learning for her PhD thesis. She aims to study the factors that influence the efficiency of storybook reading. She is interested in how ELL children can benefit from multimedia story reading, and how multimedia integration can enrich the learning environment for ELLs. Her research also involves exploring issues in pre-service teacher education. She has been working with her advisor, Dr. Yadav on the CS4EDU project, assisting with the integration of modules on computational thinking into an education courses and the design of a new methods course for pre-service computer science teachers, which is being developed as part of a new computer science supplemental licensure program. |
