There are 8 faculty who are associated with the Counseling Psychology program. Of these, five are full-time Counseling Psychology faculty. Two are core School Counseling faculty who contribute to counseling psychology through teaching, dissertation committees, and research supervision activity. The other one is an Affiliated, Courtesy Appointment faculty who teaches and serves as a clinical supervisor or dissertation committee member.

Jean Sunde Peterson, Ph.D. (The University of Iowa) Interests include high-ability populations who are little studied or are underrepresented in gifted programs; adolescent and young adult development; and school-counselor training. |

Carrie A. Wachter Morris, Ph.D. (University of North Carolina at Greensboro) Interests include crisis and crisis intervention (particularly in school settings), adolescent attachment and relationships with peers, and collaborative work between school counselors and other health and mental health personnel in the schools and the community. |

Interests include supervision and training; counseling center development and administration; anxiety disorders; personality disorders; couples therapy; diversity issues; group therapy; use of languages other than English in the therapy process. |
