1. your faculty advisor must sign your course requests to register for
classes;
2. regular registration begins March 15 (Summer/Fall courses) and
October 15 (Spring courses);
3. delayed registration usually begins 2 weeks before the first day of
class and during this period invoices must be claimed in person at
the Bursar, Hovde Hall;
4. a $50 late fee is added the first day of class for initial registrations;
5. up to 12 credits taken while in postbaccalaureate status (including
any undergraduate excess credits), which a grade of B" or better,
may be considered for use on a plan of study for an advanced degree
subject to approval by your major professor, committee, department,
and university);
6. courses must be current, less that 5 years old, to be considered for
use on a plan of study for an advanced degree (if courses are more
than 5 years old--please ask your advisor or the SOE Office of
Graduate Studies for instructions to establish currency of knowledge
and to request a waiver);
7. if you do not register for 12 months, the Registrar deactivates your
eligibility to register (a new application is needed to restore
eligibility to register, please contact the SOE Office of Graduate
Studies for instructions);
8. if you need additional information, begin by asking your faculty
advisor to help you (e.g., each faculty member has a personal copy
of the "Graduate Advising Handbook").
